Die \u00dcberfahrt durch das hellbraune Flusswasser dauert nicht einmal eine Minute und kostet 1 Ringgit pro Person. Gut, dass es auf der anderen Seite einen Lastenaufzug f\u00fcr unser Gep\u00e4ck gibt, denn wir m\u00fcssen etwa 80 steile Stufen zur Rezeption hinaufsteigen. Leider ist unser Chalet 5 Gehminuten von der Lobby und dem Restaurant entfernt, aber so bleiben wir wenigsten fit. Wie immer h\u00e4ngen wir im Zimmer angekommen erstmal das M\u00fcckennetz \u00fcber unser Bett. Schlie\u00dflich wollen wir weder zerstochen noch von einem Skorpion \u00fcberrascht werden. Denn Skorpione geh\u00f6ren zu den nachtaktiven Tieren, wie wir bei unserer anschlie\u00dfenden Nachtwanderung erfahren. Mittlerweile hat es zu regnen angefangen, alles riecht so herrlich nach Dschungel und es ist eine sch\u00f6ne, aber auch aufregende Atmosph\u00e4re. Wir lernen unseren privaten Guide Itris kennen,der sich gro\u00dfe M\u00fche gibt, uns so viele Tiere wie m\u00f6glich zu zeigen. Mit Regenschirm, Tarnkappi\u00a0 und Taschenlampe bewaffnet schleichen wir gespannt mit Itris durch den Dschungel. Schon nach ein paar Metern sehen wir ein Stabinsekt, das nur beim genaueren hinsehen Augen bekommt. Kurz danach zeigt er uns mit Hilfe seines UV-Lichts einen Skorpion, der wegen seines fluoreszierenden K\u00f6rpers in dem speziellen Licht fast neongelb leuchtet. Au\u00dferdem sehen wir noch riesengro\u00dfe Motten, die aussehen wie wundersch\u00f6ne Schmetterlinge, einen kleinen am Baum kabbelnden Tausendf\u00fc\u00dfler und einige mittelgro\u00dfe Spinnen. Wir haben uns zwar etwas mehr erhofft bei unserer Nachtwanderung, aber Itris erkl\u00e4rt uns, dass das auch an dem Regen liegt, da sich manche Tiere zum Beispiel unter den Bl\u00e4ttern verstecken. Wieder ist Itris unser privater Guide f\u00fcr den gesamten Tag. Gut ger\u00fcstet mit tonnenweise Antim\u00fcckenspray, Safarihose und gutem Schuhwerk, freuen wir uns auf die angek\u00fcndigte dreist\u00fcndige Dschungelwanderung. Da am Nachmittag ein Besuch bei den Orang Aslis geplant ist, zeigt uns unser Guide am Vormittag ein paar Pflanzen und B\u00e4ume, die die Einwohner des Nomadenstammes f\u00fcr ihr t\u00e4gliches Leben benutzen. Begeistert waren wir von der nat\u00fcrlichen Art der M\u00fcckenabwehr. Dazu bastelt er uns ein Armband, das er aus dem inneren einer Ingwerpflanze gemacht hat. Der Geruch davon soll Ungeziefer fern halten. Die Orang aslis binden sich den Ingwer an das Handgelenk oder um den Hals, um beim Jagen eine insektenfreie Sicht zu haben. Nur einen Augenblick sp\u00e4ter entdeckt Itris in einem Baum eine gr\u00fcne Schlange. Er erkl\u00e4rt uns, dass es sich hierbei um eine extrem giftige, sogenannte Wagler\u2019s Viper handelt, die man anscheinend nur sehr selten zu Gesicht bekommt. Sie scheint f\u00fcr uns zu posen und wir bekommen ein sch\u00f6nes Foto. Wir setzten unseren Weg fort und auf einmal beobachten wir wie Itris anf\u00e4ngt, Steine zu sammeln. Er legt f\u00fcnf Steine vor uns hin, betr\u00e4ufelt diese mit Wasser und es entstehen f\u00fcnf verschiedenfarbige kleine Pf\u00fctzen . Dann nimmt er Olivias Hand und f\u00e4ngt an mit ganz feinen St\u00f6ckchen eine malaysische Hibiskusbl\u00fcte auf ihren Handr\u00fccken zu zeichnen. Zusammen mit vielen anderen Touristen laufen wir \u00fcber insgesamt sechs, teilweise bis zu 45 Meter hohe H\u00e4ngebr\u00fccken. Mit etwas Tr\u00f6deln haben wir aber trotzdem ein paar Bilder alleine auf der Br\u00fccke bekommen. Eigentlich h\u00e4tten wir das Vergn\u00fcgen noch l\u00e4nger gehabt, doch die restlichen Br\u00fccken werden leider zur Zeit restauriert. Normalerweise ist der Canopy Walk 510 Meter lang. Dann ist es Zeit zum Mittagessen und wir gehen zur\u00fcck zum Hotel. Auf dem R\u00fcckweg sehen wir noch viele interessante dinge wie zum Beispiel einige V\u00f6gel, wie den Black Naped Monarch, einen riesigen Bambus, einen giftigen Pilz, einen Tausendf\u00fc\u00dfler und eine aus dem Baumloch schauende Echse. Nach einer kurzer Mittagspause machen wir es uns in einem schaukelnden Longboat gem\u00fctlich und lassen uns von Itris \u00fcber den Fluss schippern. Hin und wieder \u00fcberholen uns \u00e4hnliche mit bis zu 15 Personen vollgestopfte Boote und wir kommen uns alleine zu zweit wie VIP`s vor. Mit der Gem\u00fctlichkeit ist es allerdings vorbei, als wir in die Stromschnellen geraten und eine Welle nach der anderen \u00fcber uns ins Boot schwappt. So kommen wir fr\u00f6hlich und v\u00f6llig durchn\u00e4sst in einem der kleinen D\u00f6rfer der Orang Aslis an. \u00dcbrigens gibt es siebzehn verschiedene St\u00e4mme der Orang Aslis in Malaysia. Wir d\u00fcrfen Einblicke in das Leben des Stammes Batek bekommen.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Es riecht nach angebranntem Holz und hier und da steigt Rauch hinter den Stroh-, Holz- und Wellblechh\u00fctten auf. Sch\u00fcchterne Kinder schauen immer wieder vorsichtig hinter bunten T\u00fcchern hervor und einige Touristen bekommen in kleinen Gruppen verschiedenen Vorf\u00fchrungen. Auch uns zeigen sie, wie sie aus Ratenh\u00f6lzern und Bambussp\u00e4nen oder mit Steinen Feuer machen. Au\u00dferdem sind sie exzellente J\u00e4ger mit dem Blasrohr. Die Orang Aslis stellen es aus leichtem Bambus selber her. Genauso wie der spitze Holzpfeil im Inneren, der zur Jagd vorher in Gift getr\u00e4nkt wird, das sie sich von einer Pflanze (Antiaris Toxicaria) im Dschungel holen. Einige Meter entfernt h\u00e4ngt ein Teddy als Demonstrationsobjekt an einer Holzplatte, auf dem wir uns auch J\u00e4ger versuchen d\u00fcrfen (nat\u00fcrlich nur mit ungiftigen Pfeilen). Zum Schluss \u00fcberreichen wir ein paar begeisterten Kindern Plastikspielzeug, das sie selber zusammenbauen k\u00f6nnen (\u00e4hnlich wie aus einem \u00dcberraschungsei). \u00dcberw\u00e4ltigt und beeindruckt von deren Lebensweise verabschieden wir uns und gehen \u00fcber den kleinen Strand zur\u00fcck zu unserem Boot. Kurz bevor wir wieder einsteigen und Olivia (!) uns zur\u00fcck zum Hotel bringt, treffen wir noch zwei Fischer, die uns stolz ihre Beute
